Dear Friends,
Great class! We worked hard. You should be proud! As I said we are a bit behind the other classes. I don't want to push too hard but I also don't want to get any further behind. Good work!
Next week we will not be having class. I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.

Don't forget these upcoming Student Level Dances:
Friday, November 26: Samena Squares, Juanita Community Club, squares start at 8:00 p.m. The caller is Roger Spiese, the cuer is Jill Spiese. The theme is Hawaiian so feel free to dress accordingly. This is a regular club dance. Every other tip will be at class level (depending on how many of you come.) This is a free dance for students. There will be a finger food potluck during the dance. And an after party afterward at the hall. Bring leftovers to share for that part.

Friday, December 3: First Friday Fun Fest, Whirlybirds at the Hayloft in Lynnwood. Dancing from 7:30-10:30 p.m.
Saturday, December 4: Happy Hoppers Holly Jolly Dance, Stillaquamish Senior Center, 18308 Smokey Pt Blvd, Arlington (Exit 206 on I-5); squares start at 8:00 p.m. Susan Morris, calling, Shirley Cook, cueing. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there. There will be a finger food potluck during the dance.

Friday, December 10: Samena Squares Joy Ball; Juanita Community Club, squares start at 8:00 p.m. Susan Morris calling, Karen Neverdowski, cueing. This is a dressy dance.
Sunday, December 19: Seattle Center Christmas Dance, Seattle Center House, 4-6 p.m. This dance will be a mix of full Mainstream tips and Student Level tips.

Week #10:
3 b. Dosado to Wave: After a DOSADO, step slightly to the left and forward, touch RIGHT hands (centers touch LEFT hands too) to end in an ocean wave. DOSADO TO WAVE – 6 steps.
32 a. Allemande Thar: At the end of any left arm turn the centers or designated dancers form a right hand star by joining hands on wrists (fireman’s carry) to form a back-up Star. ALLEMANDE THAR – this is a formation.

34. Slip The Clutch: In a Thar Star, the centers keep their star and let go of the outsides and start walking forward. The outsides let go of the centers and continue walking forward. Walk forward the designated distance to complete the next command. SLIP THE CLUTCH – 2 steps.
36. Trade Family:
36 c. Partner: dancers change places with their partner. Every TRADE includes a reversal of facing direction. PARTNER – 4 steps;
38 a. Alamo Ring: A circle of 8 dancers forming an OCEAN WAVE. Dancers have alternating facing directions (in, out, in, out, etc.) ALAMO RING – this is a formation.
38 b. Alamo Ring – Balance: In an Alamo Ring step forward a small step then step back. ALAMO RING – BALANCE – 4 steps.
39 a. Swing Thru: Those that can, TURN HALF BY THE RIGHT, then those that can, TURN HALF BY THE LEFT. SWING THRU – 6 steps.
