Samena Newsletter #15

Dear Friends,
Good dancing Thursday night! It was great to see some of you Friday night at the dance too! What a fun crowd!
I have a couple of things to let you know this week. Read carefully!

Friday, January 21: There is a student level dance hosted by the Sky Valley Whirlwinds. The Samena Squares are caravanning to this dance. You are invited and strongly encouraged to go with them. The club will be meeting for dinner at 6 p.m. at Crystal Creek Cafe in Bothell (Canyon Park). There will be a sign-up sheet Thursday night. Sky Valley dances at the TriWay Grange just east of Mill Creek (so it is just a quick jaunt up Highway 527 to the hall). Lorna will have corrected maps and directions Thursday night.
If you are willing to dance with someone else, the club members are willing to split up and dance with each of you. Dancing with someone else, especially if they have danced for awhile, often helps reinforce how to do the moves correctly. I would suggest it for a tip or two. If you don't want to do this there is no requirement. In any event there will be a number of club members there to dance with you.

Club dance pictures: Check out the Samena Squares web site http://www.samenasquares.org/
There is a link to Club Photos. If you were at the Christmas Seattle Center Dance, you will likely be in those photos. There are also pictures of the New Year's Eve Dance. Keep checking for the pictures of Friday's dance.

There is also lots of other information on this web page. Jim Hunt has done a good job keeping the information up-to-date and relevant. Explore!

Have a great week! See you Thursday!

Happy dancing,
Susan
